How do we know which episode turns NSFW?

We only know it for the free pair, because we read the subtitles of episodes 1 and 2 and cannot see inside a locked episode. A guest gets no video for a paid episode, so there is nothing to rate and nothing we will make up.

The routine is identical for every covered series:

1. Read the episode 1 subtitles and note whether a sex act is under way, described aloud or merely hinted.
2. Do the same for episode 2.
3. If a sex act is clearly present, record the earlier of the two episodes as the first NSFW episode, 1 or 2.
4. If neither episode has one, record “explicit after the free pair” and leave the episode number empty.

There is a built-in limit. The help center says full episodes run under two minutes, while the subtitles on a free episode last about a minute, so something could begin after the last subtitle line. We treat the written record as the evidence, and when a scene is cut off on a cliffhanger we describe it as a cliffhanger, not as a sex scene.

What counts as “clearly” is deliberately strict. Moans on the soundtrack, a line that says a character was moaning last night, hands under clothing while the scene carries on, or a spoken description of oral sex or group play all qualify. A loaded invitation, a towel tease or a boast about stamina does not, however hot it is, because it promises an act without showing one.

Which episodes of a Candy AI short are free?

Episodes 1 and 2 of every public series are free, and that pair is the whole verifiable window. Where you watch changes the fine print, as this table shows.

Practically, the cheapest way to meet your first NSFW episode is the free route: pull up the series on the free site and watch both. If the free pair already turns explicit, you have your answer at no cost. If it does not, you are looking at the paywall.

Spicy is the odd one out, since guests get no free pair there at all. We come back to that near the end.

What does “explicit after the free pair” mean?

It means neither free episode shows a sex act, so the series has no verified NSFW episode and any later turn would sit behind the 12-token paywall (30 in creator-twin series). We deliberately do not write a number for it.

Think about what the label does and does not promise. It does promise that, as of the date on the page, a free viewer will see flirting, tension, nudity or dirty talk but no completed act. It does not promise that episodes 3 to 5 are explicit, because we have not seen them and the cards and posters reveal almost nothing. A series with a hot synopsis and a free pair that only teases is still “after the free pair” until a free episode proves otherwise.

Use the label as a risk rating. Where the free pair already shows sex, you are buying more of something you have seen. Where it is “after the free pair”, you are paying to find out. Some people enjoy that gamble, and a slow burn can pay off, but it is a gamble, and our pages treat it as one.

Which shorts turn explicit in episode 1?

Only a minority of explicit shorts turn in episode 1, and the ones that do are mostly fantasy settings or stories that start mid-affair, skipping the slow build. Episode 1 normally has to introduce the people and the problem, so most writers save the heat for the cliffhanger at the end of episode 2.

The clearest early turners among our examples:

• Claimed by the Dragon Queen opens with an order to say her name through moans and a quip about how easily humans break, which hints that sex has already begun before the first episode is out. Episode 2 then confirms it.
• Dragon Queen’s Dark Desire has a woman undress for a healer’s exam to explicit moans in episode 1, well before the two-woman set-up of episode 2.

The moral for a viewer: if a short reaches episode 2 and ends on a threshold, you are not seeing a coincidence, you are seeing a sales device. The cut falls exactly where episode 3 starts costing 12 tokens.

Partly: a mood tag does not set the episode, but each mood has a habit, and the habits are strong enough to use as a shortcut. Here is what the examples show for the biggest ones.

These dominate the explicit group. The mom-figure sets the pace, and the first act usually lands in episode 2. By tag size that is 43 MILF series, 26 stepmom, 11 girlfriend’s mom, 7 mother-in-law and 5 best friend’s mom. Every Flirt series and every Foreplay series stays short of a sex act through the free pair, and the Flirt ones tease across both episodes with no touching at all. They are the clearest examples of “explicit after the free pair”.

Take I Picked Up a Hitchhiker, which flirts through a truck ride and a one-room motel and ends on a towel request. Or Dad’s New Girlfriend, a café-counter flirtation that finishes with an invitation into her car. Forgive Me, Father keeps its heat inside a confessional. Foreplay series that hold back are a different bet, because they are hotter on the page. Which Foreplay shorts come closest to turning explicit?

The closest calls are Foreplay series whose episode 2 ends on an offer or a threshold, such as Boys Not Allowed, Bachelor Party with My Fiancée’s Mother and 18 Holes With My Wife’s Sister. They stop one line short of a finished act in episodes 1 and 2.

Does the length of a series change when it turns NSFW?

We cannot show that it does: the free pair is the same two episodes whether a series runs 5 episodes or 30, and the rest stays behind the paywall. What length changes is the bill, not the proof.

Most public series run five episodes. A handful run longer: Dad’s New Girlfriend and Kiss My Enemy have six, Caught Between Sisters has 15 and YES MA’AM has 30, the longest series we cover. Here is what the length does to the cost of seeing everything.

In a creator-twin series the five-episode total is 90 tokens instead. Longer runs may spread their payoff thinner, but that is a guess about pacing, not a fact about episode 4 or 12. If you are drawn to a long series, treat the free pair as a sample and decide on that alone. Our longest series chart ranks them, and the cheapest-to-finish chart ranks the other end.

What does it cost to reach a later NSFW episode?

Watching a character series up to episode 3 costs 12 tokens, up to episode 4 costs 24 and up to episode 5 costs 36; in public creator-twin series the same steps cost 30, 60 and 90. The free pair covers episodes 1 and 2, so the bill starts at episode 3.

How can you check when a short turns NSFW before paying?

Open the two free episodes on candyshorts.com and compare them with the “When does it get NSFW?” section of our page for that series. The two should agree, because our section comes from the same pair.

How often does the first NSFW episode information change?

It changes whenever the catalog does: on October 25, 2026 candy.ai listed 182 series, and its front page advertises weekly drops. The help center, though, won’t commit to a schedule.

New series arrive without warning, and existing ones can gain episodes. Because our ratings read only the free pair, an update to episode 3 or later does not change a rating, but a swapped or re-edited free episode would. When we re-check, we change the page, not just the date.

That is the reason every claim here is anchored to a date and to the free pair, and the reason the table is generated from live data instead of written by hand.
